History
The firm was restructured in 2013 and founded in 1999 by Principal Tim Pocock and was previously known as BP & Associates, Inc. PDS, Inc. is a full service mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering firm specializing in K-12, Community College, University, Student housing, Modernization Parking Structures and new construction projects, as well as Municipal/Retail and other types of projects. PDS provides a comprehensive scope of consulting services from the initial program development phase through the completion of the projects construction administration. The PDS staff brings a combined experience of over 150 years in the engineering and construction industry from the key members of the firm. Our specific areas of expertise include engineered design of complex HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems from project inception through final construction commissioning. This expertise encompasses new, retrofit, and modernization projects.
Tim Pocock, Principal
Mr. Pocock, founding principal of Pocock Design Solutions, Inc., has over 35 years of experience in the AE construction industry and a vast knowledge of plumbing and fire sprinkler design. He has worked on a variety of plumbing systems for healthcare, educational, municipal, parking structures, and industrial facilities throughout the state of California. Mr. Pocock is one of the managing principals of the firm. He is also hands on and involved with all aspects of the plumbing design of the projects from the initial design phase through project closeout. He is also involved with all the daily operations of the firm and is well versed in all aspects of construction. Mr. Pocock obtained a certification from University of California Los Angeles, Extension, Plumbing Systems.
Andrew Gossman, Principal, PE, HFDP, LEED AP BD+C
Mr. Gossman has worked on a variety of mechanical systems for educational, healthcare, industrial, municipal, and commercial facilities throughout the state of California. He is well versed in all aspects of design and design management including modern design processes such as BIM and integrated project delivery. Mr. Gossman is one of the managing principals of the firm. He is also hands on and involved with all aspects of the mechanical design of the projects from the initial design phase through project closeout. Mr. Gossman obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obipso and is a registered engineer in the state of California. He is also an ASHRAE Certified Healthcare Facility Design Professional and a LEED Accredited Professional.
